Christi Friesen is the Director of Region 1 in Brownvale, Alberta. She is currently serving her first term on the board, sitting on both the Research and the Grower Engagement & Extension committees for Alberta Canola. Christi farms with her husband and two children in the Brownvale area, growing wheat, peas, canola, barley, and oats. As a first-generation farm, they are preparing to transition to the next generation within the next 15 years. In the winter, she can be found chasing her kids to hockey and school sports. In her free time, she enjoys hunting, quadding, camping, and spending time outdoors with her family. Christi is also involved in many other local organizations, including her local ASB board and the CN Agricultural Advisory Council.
