Alan Hampton is the Director of Region 12 in Rowley, Alberta, currently serving his second term on the board. He chairs the Research Committee and sits on the Finance & Audit Committee.

He is a fourth-generation farmer, approximately a half-hour north of Drumheller, where he farms with his wife, Gwen. Together, they grow canola, wheat, malt barley, flax, and peas. Alan is married with three children, all of whom have pursued careers outside of farming. He serves as a director for his local seed plant and fills his time supporting community initiatives, curling, and baseball.
