Justin Nanninga is the director of Region 5, serving his second term on the Alberta Canola board. He sits on the Research, Government and Industry Affairs committees and is Alberta Canola's appointment to the Canola Council of Canada's Board of Directors.

Justin farms in the Neerlandia area, producing canola, wheat, peas, fababeans, lentils, and oats on a first-generation farm. Born on a farm, he loves the profession because something different happens every day, and no two years are ever the same, which he finds both challenging and rewarding. Outside of his farm and association work, Justin is actively involved in his community and church. He prioritizes being a part of their children's and grandchildren's lives.
