Dr. Anna Shulkin is the Head of Regulatory and Stewardship for Syngenta Canada where she leads the team responsible for registering active ingredients, product formulations, minor uses, and re-evaluations with the Health Canada Pest Management Regulatory Agency. The team is also focused on global trade initiatives as well as implementing Canadian stewardship initiatives and policies that help manage the environmental impact and long term viability.

Anna is a member of the Syngenta science team, holding a PhD in formulation technology and polymer chemistry from McMaster University and a master’s degree in pharmaceutical chemistry from Bar-Ilan University, Israel.

She joined Syngenta in 2001 and has held roles in application chemistry supporting new product introductions, regulatory and product safety conducting residue studies and risk assessments, and as the Syngenta lead for Maximum Residue Limits establishing thresholds across global trading partners.

Anna is an Canadian Head of Delegation for the Industry Working Group, and the Chair of International Sub-Committee with CropLife Canada; she is member of Canadian Grain Council Chemistry Committee and their Domestic Maximum Residue Limits Policy Steering Committee; as well as a member of the CropLife Canada Regulatory Committee.
