Chris Kamphuis is the Director for Region 1, farming near Worsley in northwestern Peace Country. He joined the Alberta Canola board in 2026 and brings a strong farming and operational perspective to his role.

Chris farms 3,000 acres alongside 10 cow-calf pairs and about 50 honeybee hives. His 20-year career in the energy sector shaped his approach to large-scale grain farming and operations. Outside of work, Chris and his family enjoy hiking, camping, boating and exploring new destinations.
