Alan Hampton is the Region 12 Director for Alberta Canola, farming near Rowley, Alberta. He joined the board in 2022 and brings his experience as a fourth-generation farmer and long-time member of Alberta’s agricultural community to his role.
Alan farms with his wife, Gwen, about 30 minutes north of Drumheller. Together, they grow canola, wheat, malt barley, flax and peas. He also serves as a director of his local seed plant.
Alan stays active in his community through local initiatives, curling and baseball. He and Gwen have three children, all of whom have pursued careers outside of farming.
