Charles Simoneau is the director of Region 3, serving his second term on the board. He is the Alberta Canola committee chair of the Finance & Audit and the Governance & HR committees. In addition, he is also a member of the Government & Industry Affairs Committee. Charles and his wife Michelle farm in the southeast corner of Peace County in the M.D. of Smoky River near Falher, Alberta. The farm has been in Michelle's family for three generations and will be eligible for the Century Farm Program in 2030. Together, they grow Canola, wheat, barley, pulse crops, and other cereals. Charles and Michelle have three adult children and two grandchildren. The couple enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and relaxing at their cabin on the local golf course. As an avid outdoorsman, Charles enjoys travelling across Canada, golfing, riding, hunting, and spending time in nature.
