Introducing the 1st Annual Alberta Canola Conference
The new Alberta Canola Conference along with the 33rd Annual General Meeting are coming to Lethbridge, Alberta in January 2023.
The Alberta Canola Conference and AGM will be held in a different location within Alberta each year to help ensure all growers across Alberta have the opportunity to participate and to have direct input into the organization.
Alberta Canola will live stream the Annual General Meeting each year to increase accessibility for growers across Alberta to vote on motions, resolutions, or elections that may take place.
There are three components for the Alberta Canola Conference - here is what you need to know....
1. The Alberta Canola Conference is a canola focused event that brings together Alberta Canola and our national partners, the Canola Council of Canada and the Canadian Canola Growers Association (CCGA) for interactive presentations on canola agronomy and policy.
2. Alberta Canola's Annual General Meeting will be held on the first day as part of the conference. Growers may choose to attend only the AGM if they choose, and the AGM will also be live-streamed enabling all canola growers to participate and vote from anywhere in Alberta.
3. Alberta Canola's Research Symposium will be held on the afternoon of the second day. The symposium will focus on Southern Alberta this year. The event includes updates from researchers and more importantly, the opportunity for farmers to identify what Southern Alberta's research priorities are now and in the future.
The 33rd Annual General Meeting of the Alberta Canola Producers Commission will be on Tuesday, January 17 at 3:30pm
Growers are encouraged to register to vote and/or select the designated voting representative for their farms. Growers will have the option to participate in-person as part of the Alberta Canola Conference or to join virtually through the Zoom broadcast that will allow active participation including voting.
You must register by Tuesday, January 17, 2023 to join the Annual General Meeting Zoom broadcast. For those attending in-person, registering to vote now will streamline in-person check-in.
Guests are welcome to attend the Annual General Meeting.
