Tara joined Alberta Canola in 2019 as the Agriculture and Education Coordinator. She works with the Public Engagement and Promotion Committee to help bring relevant information about canola production, consumption and research to the education realm. She is responsible for developing resources that are directly linked to the Provincial Program of Studies that can be utilized by teachers to help students truly understand where their food is coming from.

Tara works closely with other commodity groups, key education stakeholders, and supports the Public Trust team to bring positive messaging about agriculture, canola production, consumption and trade to the general public to promote canola in a positive light.
